Understanding Life • Our Life Jacket While On Shore

“You cannot fear the uncertainty.”

We cling to the things we think are security.

Things that are our life jacket while on shore. Our ladder when we’re on the ground; or our umbrella beneath a clear sky. We always want what we don’t have. We always want what we don’t need.

It’s the power of being scared. Being scared of uncertainty.

Being scared of the endless possibilities that life has prepared for us.

We know it’s unnecessary; for the pointless things we carry are the things that weigh us down. That’s why life is a battle of figuring out that more often than not – we ourselves is enough.

You cannot live in fear. You cannot fear the uncertainty.

A house isn’t a home without the people beneath the roof. A vacation isn’t worth the trip without the culture you embrace. A friendship isn’t more than company until you learn to let them in. A relationship is only lust until you find someone to love. A job is simply work until you’re doing something worthwhile, and your life is simply existence until you truly start to live.
