Understanding Life • Pretty Isn’t A Look. It’s An Outlook.

“Don’t let the things that make you, waste away like a number on the scale.”

Don’t skip dinner with friends, or pass on a tall glass of wine.

Don’t stand in front of the candles on your Birthday cake, wishing them gone like the trail of treats left out of love – early Easter morning. Don’t countdown the minutes on the treadmill like you countdown the bites until you’re full; and don’t let your lunch slip from your fingers to the trash, after you’ve convinced yourself, “that’s enough.”

In a world full of critical voices, it can be hard to stand up for yourself, but both your mind and your body make you who you are. They validate your place in the world.

Don’t let this madness change your sacred place.

Don’t let the things that make life and the things that make you, waste away like a number on the scale – for one day you’ll look back and this will all make sense.

One day you’ll learn that pretty isn’t a look. It’s an outlook.

  • Short but sweet post encouraging everyone to not adhere to the culture’s standard of beauty :))) You’re definitely right, beauty or pretty in “deep”… is not based on looks.
At the end of the day, those who are radiant from within are considered more beautiful than those who only have their outer appearance, but are really purposeless or empty on the inside :)))
