Mental Health • The Idea Of Someone Has To Be Enough

“No one’s life stops when yours does.”

You don’t want to breakdown because you don’t want to challenge the love of the people around you. You don’t want to see who would be there. You just want to believe they would all be. Unfortunately, you know the truth.

You know no one’s life stops when yours does.

But still, you want them to push you. Comfort you. Convince you there’s good you simply can’t see. Maybe they can’t keep telling you things will be okay. Maybe they can’t visit every lunchtime, or call before bed, just to soothe your mental pain.

Maybe they can’t give you expectations that they’ll always be there because sometimes they won’t be. One day they won’t be.

Sometimes your call will go unanswered and your mind will be left to wander.

You’ll wonder who cares and you’ll question the motive of those who do. Peace of mind will come as the ones you need are always there.

You are loved and love is something that sticks around, even when they’re gone.

Only God will be there for you always 🙂 Nicely written, too much to relate.

  • I think that’s why i bury stuff. I am worried what happens if I reach rock bottom and no-one is there! Which I know is massively insulting to my friends and family, why don’t I trust them enough to be there?! I think it’s to do with my feeling of self worth!

    • That’s a great point. I tend to bury my feelings as well. It’s great to hear that others have the same frustrations but I completely agree. It must come down to our self-worth. Thank you for sharing!

This is so true. Being a person who is very emotional I know that once you break down and those emotions come out, people view you differently. Alot of people will not support you and you will find out who your true friends are. The people who really love you.

    • You’re completely right. People do view you differently which makes sense why we all build these walls. Maybe some more than others! It’s just scary to test how much someone will be there. Great comment – thanks for taking the time to comment.
